Compare the feeding surface

Match the food
Wet food, dry kibble and mixed meals move through shaped surfaces differently. Check that the food you actually serve can be reached across the surface.
Watch the first meals
Supervise initial use. If your dog cannot comfortably reach the food, that bowl is the wrong fit—choose a different surface rather than persisting.
